Gathering evidence

After some helpful advice from Macon's former mayor, Jim Marshall, suggesting we gather evidence to support our concerns, we have collected a vast assortment of photos and videos showing how our air is being polluted right under our noses. I kept a video and still camera in my work truck and recorded burn sites when I spotted the smoke.

Although I was pleased to discover the majority of citizens disposed of their trash in a non-burning "neigborhood friendly" way, I continued to find a few in our neighborhoods polluting the air and lungs of multitudes. Also, I was surprised to discover how much businesses, building contractors, and developers burned in our residential areas. The variety of toxic materials being burned was also shocking.
I learned how easy polluters could get an over the phone permit. I learned how difficult it is to stop someone from this type invasion. It seems we have the freedom of speech, but not the freedom to breathe fresh air in our own homes. I'll be glad to "shut up" as soon as we can breathe freely. I've noticed that premature death puts an end to all freedoms.
